It's been a while since I've updated this blog... idk... I've been really busy and had no time to even take a minute to let things marinate. It's a problem. And another part of it is... as I'm getting to know this place things are becoming more ritualistic as well as personal... so instead of exploring places like the first week, I'm meeting a lot of people -- and that's where the drama comes in. I don't know how personal I wanna get with this blog since everybody's reading it... so every time I wanted to blog I would think twice about whether I wanna talk about this stuff here... and I just ended up going to sleep lol... And now I just have this huge gap to fill... sigh... ummm I guess I'll try to cover the highlights of the past.. 3 weeks. But one step at a time.
The first thing that popped into my mind is -- Jamal. So I'm gonna start from here. Like I said, this is gonna be more about the people than about the place. I met him... ummm I saw him at the international student durbar... cuz he was one of the only black guys there... so I got to look lol!! But then just randomly ran into him in my dance class... that was September 3rd. We actually didn't really talk in class... it was after class I was running around tryna drop a class -- and trust me, it's IMPOSSIBLE! Dropping a class at Legon is just the worst possible human experience... nobody should go thru anything like this... How do they not have an online system... and everybody tells you different things... sigh... it was a mess. And he was just caught up in the same mess. So. It made sense that we would talk to each other... I could recount the whole convo here but for times sake I'm not going to -- but essentially he was just like... it's so weird being the only gay person here... and I was likeeee -- nah uh. Your not alone. And we bonded over that. And we hung out again the very next day. And we saw each other every day the following week -- literally EVERYDAY... it was kinda scary -_-, considering we live relatively far from each other... it costs like 7 cedis to go there... sigh. anyways.
Sigh... it's getting late... I'm gonna have to go to sleep again -_-. fail. i didnt even get to write that much... i blame it on the fa fa fa fa facebooook... -_-.
